This replacement latch has the universal fit design for many door handles..check yours for a matching style as some are different.
This is made well and works flawlessly.
Sometimes you don’t need a whole new door handle and this will replace just what you need. Keep your screws because this is not sold with them.
The Satin Brass is common too and something you might keep in mind to also match.

We had a latch that broke, so this made for an easy replacement. I was able to swap in the new latch quickly, and the adjustable sizing accommodated the knob that was installed already. It seems to function well and appears to be a durable replacement for the one that was installed previously.

This latch was easy to swap out from the old one and is functioning properly. Its construction is OK. The metal tabs are on the smaller side, and I noticed that the face plate (and its backer) is a little thinner than the one I replaced. You can see in the picture that the face plate is not flush with the door edge. The thing that bothered me most was the tape that was used to protect the face plate finish. After carefully peeling it off, it left residue and parts of it behind in the logo and around branding letters.

This latch has square opening for spindle, that makes it incompatible with Schlage handles that have rectangular spindles. Otherwise, it's well made and probably would work ok.

I have Schlage brand on all my doors, and one of the latches locked up. The handle has a slightly rectangular shaft that has to go through this latch, and unfortunately this is perfectly square, so it did not fit. I tried to dremmel the snot out of it to make the opening rectangular, but ultimately couldn't get them to work and had to throw away. Still giving 5 stars because it looked nice before I ruined it, and I'm sure it works great if you buy the right shape for your handles.

I ordered this Mega Handles 2-Way Adjustable Entry Round Door Latch by Mega Handles as a replacement latch for door to my garage. The first one that I purchased was not the half-moon type and did not match up with the other door parts. So, I ordered this one and it matched. The latch was relatively easy to install. The most time consuming part was removing all the door parts that need to come off before you can remove the latch. Once that was completed, it was simple remove and swap. I reinstalled all the door parts and tested the door for proper function. It worked flawlessly. So, this replacement latch works perfectly. Just be sure that the half-moon style is what you need. I highly recommend this latch as a replacement latch for entry doors.

The truth about this latch style is that they fail frequently across all lockset makers because of the bent tabs. Mine came with at least one of the tabs not bent over to contain the internal pieces and resist buckling.

A couple tips before you order though....some of these have the half round on the latch and some do not. Also, make sure that the square hole size will accomodate your lockset square bar. There are indeed different sizes I found out.

This latch was a breeze to install and fit exactly as expected. The 2-way adjustability is a smart feature that made alignment easy. Feels sturdy and the satin nickel finish looks clean and modern.
