The handles unscrew, as in, come off all the way! The handle is screwed onto a screw and with a simple twist, it can come off. I found this horrifying, imagining one of my little kids discovering this, and then getting stuck in a room! The webbed handle weave of the metal is akin to grime and grub getting stuck in it and its hard to keep clean. These seem hardy and durable, and high quality, I just wonder who actually designed these without adding some lock tite to the handles to keep them together.
